Job summary

ClickHouse, a leading real-time analytics platform, seeks a Senior Software Engineer focused on the AI & ML ecosystem. You will own critical AI/ML integrations and craft tools enabling Engineers and Data Scientists to leverage ClickHouse at scale.

Ideal candidates have production experience with Python connectors, AI workflows, and strong collaboration across open-source communities. This role emphasizes performance, reliability, and developer experience in a remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with data science or ML engineering background.
• Proven production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations for major platforms.
• Hands-on AI/ML in production data engineering: embeddings, vector search, LLM tooling.
• Solid Python data stack: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic and related libraries.
• Strong database fundamentals: SQL, data modeling, OLAP/analytical contexts.
• Solid experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, async patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem.
• Drive AI/LLM integration strategy across RAG architectures and feature pipelines.
• Engage with open-source communities; triage issues and shape roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and other engineering teams on integration priorities.
• Bring production-grade practicality to roadmap decisions for AI/ML integrations.
