Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer – Python to design, build, and enhance enterprise-grade Python systems in a 100% remote, full-time W2 role. You will tackle data-intensive and automation-focused projects, collaborating with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role demands 5+ years of Python development, strong SDLC and CI/CD experience, and solid database skills with Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of applied Python development experience in enterprise-grade environments.
• Experience with large-scale production applications with uptime requirements.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase) and query tuning.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, requirements, design, build, test, release, and ongoing support.
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, resiliency, and secure coding.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end design, development, and advanced troubleshooting for complex Python apps.
• Develop secure, production-ready Python code for distributed systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Develop and optimize data processing for large-scale datasets (batch and near-real-time).
• Gather and analyze diverse datasets to improve applications and processes.
• Develop reporting mechanisms and data visualizations as needed.
• Identify defects and bottlenecks and improve coding standards and reliability.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and contribute to best practices.
• Participate in Agile cycles and CI/CD with testing, rollback, monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, data, operations, and analysts to translate requirements.
• Support operational stability through incident response and post-incident reviews.
