Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Ten or more years of applied Python development experience in enterprise-grade environments.
• Strong experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications with significant uptime requirements.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query tuning and schema design.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, build, test, release, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end design, development, and advanced technical troubleshooting for complex enterprise-grade Python applications.
• Develop secure, high-quality, production-ready Python code for distributed systems, with concurrency, fault-tolerance, and observability considerations.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring development adheres to design constraints and enterprise standards.
• Develop and optimize data processing logic for large-scale datasets, including ETL and performance tuning for batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize large and diverse datasets to improve products, reliability, or cost.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and visualizations to support operational insights.
• Identify hidden defects, performance bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses; improve coding standards and system reliability.
• Mentor less-senior engineers, contribute to engineering best practices, and participate in architectural discussions.
• Participate in Agile development cycles and CI/CD processes with testing, rollback, and monitoring strategies.
