Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a backend engineer to design and develop robust services for a next-generation football fan engagement platform. You will build scalable RESTful APIs, optimize databases, and integrate AI-powered features from OpenAI and Hugging Face.

The role is remote-first with occasional in-person sessions in Prague; you will collaborate with an international distributed team, participate in security best practices, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Azure cloud

Qualifications

Proven Python development experience with FastAPI or Flask and RESTful APIs.
Experience with async programming, Docker, cloud deployment, and CI/CD.
Strong analytical skills and willingness to complete a HackerRank assessment.
Remote-first flexibility with occasional in-person sessions in Prague.
Flexible working hours with overlap around CET business hours.

Responsibilities

Design and develop robust backend services for a scalable football fan engagement app.
Integrate AI-powered features from providers like OpenAI and Hugging Face.
Build scalable RESTful APIs and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.
Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT) and data privacy best practices.
Containerize applications with Docker and support cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with an international remote team.
