Job summary

GoReel is seeking a strong Python Developer to join our GameServer team. You will build and maintain high-load backend services for a scalable gaming platform, focusing on performance, reliability, and seamless API integrations with external operators.

You will design fault-tolerant systems, participate in architectural decisions, write clear documentation, and contribute to engineering best practices. The role offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities to influence product direction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial Python experience.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems.
• Good written English for documentation and communication.
• Languages: English (B2), Ukrainian (Proficient).
• Experience with non-relational databases (Cassandra, Redis/KeyDB).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with high-load or distributed systems.
• Production experience with monitoring, error tracking and observability tools.
