Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to help scale our Content Platform services. You’ll design and maintain Go-based microservices while tapping into a Python monolith, delivering high-availability systems across teams.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, contribute to system improvements, and grow technically and professionally in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering in a production setting writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages like Golang, Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with databases like Cassandra, Postgres, Redis.
• Experience with modern cloud-based infrastructure like Kubernetes, gRPC, AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and deliver software (Go and Python) to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
• Dive into the Go services and the monolith Python stack.
• Make system-level improvements and implement complex code modifications.
• Develop judgment to identify gaps and evolve the platform for 2+ years of growth.
• Work with cross-functional teams and solicit customer feedback.
• Collaborate on-call duties and monitoring to improve reliability and performance.
