Job summary

BETBY is seeking a Python developer to join the Backoffice Reports team. You will own the backend of analytics reports used by operations teams such as risk management, trading and account management.

The stack includes async Python on ClickHouse, with reports modeled in Pydantic and SQL templated in Jinja, executed via an RPC service over RabbitMQ and exposed by REST/GraphQL endpoints. You will write and optimize ClickHouse SQL for large data, define typed report contracts, implement access

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial Python development.
• Strong asyncio experience and async I/O patterns.
• Experience with Pydantic v2 and type hints.
• Advanced SQL skills including joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Hands-on with ClickHouse or other OLAP databases.
• Experience building REST APIs in async frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytics reports in Backoffice: filters, grouping, sorting, pagination, CSV exports, and drill-down links.
• Write and optimize ClickHouse SQL for large datasets and multi-level grouping.
• Describe reports as typed Pydantic models for filters and outputs.
• Work with RPC layer over RabbitMQ and expose endpoints via REST/GraphQL.
• Implement access control and data isolation by user role.
• Investigate slow reports, read query plans, and optimize with PREWHERE and pre-aggregation.
• Cover reports and SQL with tests; ensure data correctness across apps.
• Contribute to code reviews and evolve the reports framework.
