Job summary

BETBY is looking for a Python developer to own the backend of analytics reports in the Backoffice. You will work with async Python, ClickHouse, and a RabbitMQ RPC layer to expose data via REST/GraphQL endpoints.

You will define typed report contracts with Pydantic, optimize queries for large-scale data, and implement access controls by user roles. The role involves testing and collaborating across teams in an international environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial Python development.
• Proficient in asyncio and async I/O.
• Experience with Pydantic v2 for models.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries.
• Experience with ClickHouse or OLAP databases.
• Experience building REST APIs in async frameworks.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ and RPC over queues.
• Git, Docker, and pytest for testing.
• Ability to translate business metrics into queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend reports in the Backoffice.
• Write and optimize ClickHouse SQL for large datasets.
• Describe reports as typed contracts (Pydantic models).
• Work with RPC layer between API and reporter service.
• Implement access control for reports by roles/scopes.
• Investigate slow reports and optimize queries.
• Add tests to cover reports and SQL.
• Participate in code reviews and evolve the reports framework.
