Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in the AI & ML ecosystem to own and evolve core AI integrations in ClickHouse’s ecosystem. You’ll build production-grade Python connectors and SDKs, enabling Data Scientists to harness ClickHouse's speed at scale within RAG pipelines and feature stores.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with production ML/AI exposure.
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade Python connectors or SDKs.
• Hands-on AI/ML in data-engineering contexts: embeddings, vector search, feature pipelines.
• Strong Python data ecosystem knowledge: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic.
• Solid database fundamentals: SQL, OLAP, data modeling and optimization.
• Experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, async patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; open-source collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem for performance and API design.
• Drive AI/LLM integration strategy in RAG architectures and ML feature pipelines.
• Engage with open-source community: triage issues, support contributors, gather user feedback.
• Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and engineering teams to align integration work with priorities.
• Bring practitioner perspective to roadmap decisions based on Data Engineer/Data Scientist workflows.
