Job summary

Citi is seeking a Python AI Engineer AVP in Mississauga for designing, building, and maintaining robust AI-enabled data pipelines within the Retail and Wealth Risk Engineering team. You will deploy scalable data solutions, leverage the Databricks ecosystem, and drive ML/AI use cases across enterprise platforms.

The role requires strong Python/PySpark expertise, experience with ELT/ETL, and collaboration across DevOps, data teams, and risk stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in large-scale application development with AI deployment.
• 5+ years leading Python and PySpark engineering for ELT/ETL.
• Hands-on agentic AI development with YAML/JSON and LLM integrations.
• Proven experience building data-intensive microservice integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI agents and ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Build GEN AI agents using Google ADK and LLMs for automation and insights.
• Develop data federation layers for Data Mesh and lambda architectures.
• Automate microservices integrations with cloud-native infra and CI/CD.
• Adhere to data quality, security, and regulatory requirements.
