Job summary

Citi seeks a Lead Big Data Engineer - AVP in Pune, India, to drive data architecture for risk information and lead data integration initiatives. You will collaborate with risk organizations and technology partners to define roadmaps, prepare governance materials, and ensure data quality across multiple sources.

The role requires deep expertise in Spark, Python, SQL, NoSQL (HBase) and end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, with experience presenting to senior management and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Experience in analyzing and defining risk management data structures and architecture.
• Demonstrated influencing, facilitation and partnering skills.
• Track record of interfacing with and presenting results to senior management.
• Analytical, flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal/communication skills.
• Engineers with 8+years of data engineering experience in Big Data ecosystem with primary skill as Spark.
• Experienced in data integration (ETL/ELT) and building scalable and maintainable data pipeline supporting a variety of integration patterns (batch, replication, event streaming).
• Strong knowledge on NoSQL DB - HBase.

Responsibilities

• Define and ongoing management of target data architecture for risk information.
• Liaises with Citi risk organizations to identify alignment with Citi Data Standards.
• Work with information owners and technology partners to define the roadmap.
• Prepare materials for MORs, Portfolio Reviews, Horizontal meetings, Town Halls and Staff Meetings.
• Perform analysis of DQ issues and deliver metrics reporting.
• Support managers with status reports and presentation content; guide data analysis and reporting processes.
• Develop data collection and evaluation methodologies, including format design, data compilation, relevancy and metrics.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
