Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Python-AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade Agentic AI systems for Funds Transfer Pricing and Financial Hedging. You will own complex AI agent architectures from concept to global deployment, driving automation and decision intelligence across critical workflows.

You will lead the integration of LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and planning frameworks, mentor engineers, and influence technical strategy in a high-visibility, global context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development and system design experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with production-grade Agentic AI experience (LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent).
• Experience building multi-agent systems with planning, reasoning, memory, and API integrations.
• Applied knowledge of LLMs within agentic architectures and APIs for AI services.
• Advanced Prompt and Context Engineering skills for robust model performance.
• Experience with Vector Databases as part of AI retrieval/memory architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build multi-agent systems with autonomous agents across financial platforms.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and pipelines.
• Implement planning and reasoning using knowledge graphs and rule-based systems.
• Construct resilient agent architectures with error recovery and feedback-driven improvement.
• Integrate LLMs, predictive models, and reasoning frameworks into agent systems for complex decisions.
• Build APIs and microservices to connect AI capabilities with enterprise apps.
