Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking a PWB Designer V to lead complex multilayer PCB layouts for high-reliability products. You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability using Siemens Xpedition, with PADS support as needed.

You will mentor junior designers and drive layout standard improvements across programs. The role emphasizes design reviews, vendor collaboration, impedance control, thermal management, and EMI/EMC

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of experience in PCB design/layout.
• Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition; PADS experience preferred.
• RF PCB design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering design reviews and provide inputs to the Engineering team.
• Create complex multilayer PWB layouts using Siemens Xpedition; support PADS as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop PCB stack-ups and ensure IPC-standard layouts.
• Optimize component placement, routing, impedance control, power distribution, thermal management, EMI/EMC performance, and signal integrity.
• Generate documentation packages for PCB manufacturing and assembly.
• Perform constraint-driven PCB layout using design guides.
• Review schematics for layout readiness and manufacturability concerns early in the design cycle.
• Support fabrication reviews with internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Provide recommendations to improve product performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
• Mentor designers and lead complex layout projects.
• Support prototype builds, ECOs, and production releases.
• Drive continuous improvement of PCB layout standards and CAD methodologies.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
