Job summary

Belcan in Wilson, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Design Engineer for an important defense client. The role centers on independent PCB layout execution using Siemens Xpedition, from placement through routing to final release.

You will collaborate with engineering teams on high-speed digital, RF, power and mixed-signal designs, applying constraints, generating fabrication outputs, and driving layouts to completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on PCB layout experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens Xpedition AND Altium.
• Experience completing full board layouts independently.
• Experience with power/high-current layouts, rigid-flex designs.
• Strong understanding of DFM, signal integrity, and power integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on PCB layout using Siemens Xpedition.
• Execute full layout cycle: placement, routing, constraints, final release.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on high-speed digital, RF, power, and mixed-signal designs.
• Apply and manage design constraints (impedance, differential pairs, length matching, stackups).
• Generate fabrication outputs (Gerber/ODB++, drawings).
• Conduct and support layout design reviews.
• Resolve layout-related issues and drive design to completion.
