Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior PV Engineer to lead PV performance modeling and data analysis for SmartTrack deployments. The role supports sales and project delivery, and involves working with in-house tools and collaborating with external partners.

The candidate will be trained as an in-house SME on solar tracker optimization technology and PV performance modeling. Onsite in Chandler, AZ or remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Proficient in Python with pandas and pvlib; interview test will assess.
• Strong PV performance modeling and simulation knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve PV performance modeling methodology for tracker optimization.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales to produce project-specific modeling estimates.
• Assist implementation of SmarTrack on PV plants per orders received.
• Maintain and improve in-house energy analysis tools and validate results.
• Coordinate field experiments with third parties for model validation.
• Draft technical documents and work with technical writers as needed.
• Represent ARRAY at technical industry events and report progress to Hiring Manager.
