Job summary

RES is seeking a Manager, Engineering – PV Performance & Analytics to conduct technical and commercial due diligence for solar projects, focusing on performance testing, engineering analytics, and contract management. The role blends technical service delivery with stakeholder relations and team mentorship, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in solar/renewables construction, testing, or design with test development.
• 3+ years of leadership/manager experience.
• Willingness to travel 5–15%.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with PVCase layout software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing from planning through implementation and completion.
• Serve as primary external client contact for performance testing.
• Guide team in PV modeling tools to achieve high-quality designs.
• Drive automation for performance testing and support data engineers.
• Interpret and troubleshoot Python code with data engineers.
• Support project management with timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Review technical terms in equipment and EPC agreements.
• Provide construction support and on-site visits as needed.
• Mentor engineers and SMEs; ensure quality of outputs.
• Develop testing procedures, forms, tools, and work instructions.
• Support commissioning checklists for Tracker, SCADA, MET, and inverters.
• Define testing protocols to achieve commercial operation.
