Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Senior Manager for PV Energy & Performance Engineering in Austin, TX or Remote for the right candidate. You will model, analyze, and optimize solar+storage project performance, working with Business Development, Engineering, EPC, Asset Management, and Operations to deliver defensible energy assessments and solutions.

The role emphasizes PVsyst modeling, cross-functional design optimization, and due diligence on PPA/M&A activities, with a focus on reliability,

Qualifications

• 4+ years in solar energy modeling and optimization.
• Knowledge of data sources, loss factors, and PV production tools.
• Strong understanding of DC collection, plant design, and asset drivers.
• PVsyst required; Python, PVLIB a plus.
• Familiarity with energy storage systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage PV production estimates for early to late-stage developments.
• Perform PVsyst modeling with terrain shade, soiling, snow, and degradation.
• Collaborate across teams to optimize design and mitigate risks.
• Model equipment options with procurement and technical teams.
• Develop test plans and conduct capacity testing.
• Perform technical due diligence on PPA and M&A docs.
• Contribute to processes to improve modeling accuracy.
• Track workflow and align stakeholders on energy outputs.
• Coordinate across IE/OE to reach target solar outputs.
