Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior PV Engineer to advance PV performance modeling for our SmarTrack technology. You will quantify energy effects of tracker optimization on variable terrain and collaborate with Technical Sales to generate project estimates.

The role includes developing tools, validating methodologies with third parties, and presenting findings at industry events. Remote work is possible with onsite opportunities in Chandler, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience
• PhD in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in programming in Python using pandas and pvlib libraries; candidate will be tested in interview

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve in-house PV performance modeling methodology to quantify energy effects of solar tracker optimization on variable terrain
• Maintain and improve processes to issue project-specific modeling estimates for customers
• Work with Technical Sales to implement SmarTrack on PV power plants per orders received
• Draft technical documents and present findings to internal teams and customers
• Represent ARRAY at technical industry events and report progress to Hiring Manager
