Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior PV Engineer to join our R&D-driven team in Chandler, AZ, with option for remote work. You will become the in-house expert on PV performance modeling and data analysis to support sales and delivery of SmarTrack, our proprietary solar tracker optimization technology.

You will lead modeling efforts, improve analysis tools, and collaborate with third parties to validate approaches while drafting technical documents for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years or PhD with 2+ years; proficient in Python with pandas/pvlib.
• Strong PV performance modeling and simulation understanding.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Experience with Windows MS Office.
• Team player and fast learner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve PV performance modeling methodology for energy effects of tracker optimization.
• Prepare modeling estimates for customers with Technical Sales.
• Collaborate to implement SmarTrack on PV plants per orders.
• Develop in-house tools for energy analysis to show gains from SmarTrack.
• Coordinate with third parties to validate modeling improvements and schedule field experiments.
• Draft technical documents for internal teams and customers.
