Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is typically required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain with team leadership.
• Experience in transportation/logistics, carrier management, or freight cost analysis is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of purchasing professionals with coaching, feedback, and development.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to support transportation operations and cost optimization.
• Manage relationships with transportation suppliers, carriers, and service providers for pricing and capacity.
• Support carrier sourcing, rate negotiations, and supplier performance Management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Sales to align procurement with customer requirements.
• Analyze spend, performance, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor purchasing metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies and supplier agreements, and drive process improvements.
