Job summary

DSV is seeking a Senior Team Lead, Purchasing in Mesa, AZ to guide a team of purchasing professionals supporting transportation operations. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across logistics services.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential to drive strategic procurement initiatives. You will partner with Operations, Finance, and Procurement leadership to develop sourcing strategies, manage relationships, and ensure alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years in purchasing, procurement, transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations with leadership experience.
• Experience in transportation and logistics industries strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of purchasing professionals with coaching and performance evaluations.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to support transportation operations and cost optimization.
• Manage relationships with transportation suppliers, carriers, and service providers.
• Support carrier sourcing, rate negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other departments to align procurement with customer needs.
• Analyze spend, supplier performance, market trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor purchasing metrics and provide reporting to leadership.
