Job summary

PD Power Systems, LLC in Springfield, VA (HQ) seeks a Senior Purchasing Specialist with government contracting experience to join its corporate staff.

You will author purchasing policy, manage sourcing, ensure FAR/DFAR compliance, coordinate quotes, and support project accounting. DoD exposure preferred; travel minimal.

The role reports to the Vice President of Contracts and requires clear communication and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in related field required (experience may substitute).
• Minimum 3 years in Government contracting/subcontracting.
• Experience with FAR/DFAR and cost accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain purchasing policy for the company.
• Ensure compliance with all purchasing and cost accounting requirements.
• Review purchasing requisitions to ensure best value trade-offs.
• Obtain additional product quotes where needed.
• Maintain purchasing process and ISO-related documents to support certification.
• Support project accounting and subcontract files.
• Close out completed POs.
• Manage domestic and international freight shipments; handle international delivery procedures.
• Travel: Minimal to none.
