Job summary

Binsky is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent for its large-project MCaP division in Central NJ. The role focuses on procuring HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related construction materials, while maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring on-time, cost-effective buyouts.

You will collaborate with project managers, estimators, and vendors to align budgets with schedules. The ideal candidate has 5+ years buying experience in mechanical construction, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or subcontract buyouts in mechanical/HVAC/construction.
• Experience sourcing mechanical construction materials and related services.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and subcontract buyout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Procure HVAC and plumbing equipment, materials, and subcontracted services for projects.
• Review drawings and specs to confirm purchasing requirements with project/technical staff.
• Obtain quotes, compare options, and recommend purchases based on price and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment terms within guidelines.
