Job summary

Binsky is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale HVAC, plumbing, and process system projects in Central NJ and PA. You will drive safety, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction while guiding cross-functional teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include planning, executing, and closing projects, coordinating with design teams, and managing budgets and change orders.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale mechanical MEP construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods and systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing).
• Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Ability to interpret construction documents across multiple disciplines.
• Experience working in union labor environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery (planning, execution, closeout).
• Ensure scope alignment, constructability, and contract compliance.
• Oversee coordination with design teams and other trades.
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture and enforce safety standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; monitor productivity and costs.
• Identify prefabrication opportunities and coordinate workflows.

We are seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Project Manager (Mechanical Construction) to join our large-project MCaP division.

The Role

The Project Manager is accountable for the full lifecycle delivery of large-scale mechanical construction projects—from preconstruction through closeout. This role drives safety, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction while leading cross-functional teams and building long-term client relationships.

Accountabilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead all phases of project delivery (planning, execution, closeout)
• Ensure scope alignment, constructability, and contract compliance
• Oversee coordination with design teams and other trades

Safety & Compliance

• Champion a zero-incident safety culture
• Enforce company and client safety standards
• Ensure site-specific safety plans and weekly documentation

Cost & Change Management

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
• Oversee change order development, pricing, and approval
• Partner with accounting on billing and financial tracking

Scheduling & Productivity

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
• Monitor labor productivity, material costs, and performance metrics
• Coordinate staffing and subcontractor activities

Prefabrication & Innovation

• Identify and implement prefabrication opportunities
• Coordinate fabrication workflows and field integration

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Lead project communication and issue resolution
• Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business

Risk Management

• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
• Develop contingency plans to protect schedule and budget

Qualifications:

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods and systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
• Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
• Ability to interpret construction documents across multiple disciplines
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing union labor environments
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale mechanical MEP construction projects
• Proven success delivering complex projects (healthcare, labs, higher ed, industrial, R&D)
• Experience with Lean Construction and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Physical activity not limited to climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, lifting <50 lbs.
