Role Description

The Senior Purchasing Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing suppliers, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Senior Purchasing Agent will negotiate contracts and pricing, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time to support project schedules. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with sales, engineering, and operations teams, resolving order or delivery issues, and optimizing inventory levels and purchasing terms.

Qualifications

• Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including experience managing supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in preparing, issuing, and tracking purchase orders using ERP or purchasing software. (NETSUITE and QUICKBOOKS)
• Demonstrated customer service mindset when working with internal teams and external partners.
• Solid analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Experience in industrial, HVAC, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Comfort with on-site, office-based work, collaborating across departments in Houston, TX.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
