Job summary

Goulds Pumps IPG LLC is seeking a Pump Mechanic/Inspector in Colfax, NC to support aftermarket repair and upgrades in the PRO Services shop. The role focuses on inspection, testing, and final documentation of repaired or manufactured pump components within a heavy equipment environment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of rotating equipment experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read pump drawings and GT&T blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints including GT&T.

Responsibilities

• Provide work scope and material based on customer requirements and specs.
• Inspect components and assembled products for accuracy, recording results.
• Perform final inspections and prepare documentation prior to shipment.
• Safely operate lifting devices to move heavy equipment.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other cross-functional teams as needed.
• Produce sketches/drawings for machining of pump components.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures in the shop.
