Job summary

Exxon Mobil Corporation in Baytown, TX seeks a Sr. Customer & Application Development Engineer for Pultruded Composites. You will lead pultrusion projects, optimize processes, and run demonstrations for global customers from our Baytown site and collaboration with Spring, TX teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience operating or supervising pultrusion manufacturing, including injection die processing.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
• Hands-on ability to set-up and operate pultrusion lines without technician support.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in computers with good administrative and organizational skills.
• Good team player and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in optimizing / troubleshooting pultrusion processes and advise on equipment upgrades.
• Lead application development projects using pultrusion equipment in Baytown facilities.
• Operate equipment to produce samples for projects and customer sampling.
• Provide market insights to guide new application developments and business strategy.
• Develop novel technology to strengthen IP portfolio.
• Author technical reports and publications sharing learnings.
• Co-author promotional brochures and data sheets highlighting performance benefits.
• Train and mentor less experienced colleagues.
