Job summary

The City of Overland Park is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker Senior in the Public Works Department. The role involves operating light to moderately heavy equipment, performing street repairs, signaling and traffic control, and assisting in project leadership.

Qualified candidates should have a High School diploma, a valid Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, and the required safety certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsement.
• ATSSA or IMSA Construction Traffic Flagger and Work Zone Safety Certification.
• Must maintain an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plow truck and other snow removal equipment.
• Perform crack sealing with melter applicator and hot patching.
• Install and maintain traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Set up construction signs and act as flagger to direct traffic safety.
• Repair and haul materials, load/unload with hand tools and equipment.
