Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer in Charlestown, MA to join our national proposals team. This full-time role requires four days in-office per week with one day remote, supporting building envelope, sustainability, and code advisory proposals.

You will develop technical proposals, coordinate with service line leaders, and ensure compliance with municipal procurement requirements across Massachusetts and New England.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing and qualifications preparation.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or consulting with public-sector exposure.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.
• In-office collaboration with technical leaders across disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree required; architecture/engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate RFP responses and qualifications packages.
• Prepare technical proposals tailored to public-sector procurement.
• Coordinate with service line leaders to define scope and fees.
• Ensure proposals comply with client requirements and regional practices.
• Maintain CRM data and support template/graphics updates.
• Provide quality control on proposals and assist with meetings.
