Job summary

SOCOTEC US in Boston seeks a motivated Proposal Writer to develop and coordinate proposals for private and public-sector clients within Buildings & Real Estate. You will work under the Proposal Manager, coordinating with service leaders and clients to define scope, timelines, and fees.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years in proposal writing or estimating, with strong writing, analysis, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in proposal writing and estimating.
• Exceptional analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple proposals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals and estimates under guidance of the Proposal Manager.
• Review requests, identify team leaders, and define scope and fees.
• Create technical proposals from templates and determine LOE and fees.
• Research, attend meetings, and reflect SOCOTEC’s expertise in proposals.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to finalize packages.
• Coordinate with fellow writers for language quality and consistency.
• Engage clients to obtain additional information and confirm receipt.
• Enter client and project data into the Deltek CRM.
• Refine templates, narratives, and graphics with the Proposal Team Manager.
