Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for public sector projects in NorCal. You will monitor large, complex projects with direct accountability for delivery, conduct site visits, review budgets and contracts, and prepare status reports.

Strong leadership, financial acumen, and familiarity with codes are essential for success. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in construction/project management, a relevant degree, and optional PE/RA licensure.

Qualifications

• Ten years of full-time professional experience in construction and/or project/construction management of Commercial/Public/Educational facilities.
• Five of ten years should involve coordinating complex projects with values over $20M.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum eight years' construction administration, architecture, or engineering experience.
• Licensure as Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor large, complex public sector construction projects with accountability for delivery.
• Conduct periodic site visits to track progress and compliance.
• Review work against drawings, specifications, and budgets.
• Review subcontracts, bonds, change orders, and cost reports.
• Coordinate with developers, contractors, and the Cost Advisory group on estimates.
• Prepare status reports and advise on release of construction funds.
• Ensure compliance with architectural/engineering best practices and codes.
