Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead Los Angeles projects. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication, initiative, and the ability to drive activities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include client interfacing, budgeting, project planning, performance monitoring, change control, governance, and reporting, with focus on quality, safety, and environment across project stages.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a PM on public sector construction projects.
• Excellent organization and communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Experience managing budgets and schedules and advising on project approaches.
• Strong time management to deliver quality on time.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Experience contributing to business development and cross-selling opportunities.
• Effective sharing and retention of project information.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
• Financial management and monitoring of project status.
• Project planning, including detailed project plans.
• Monitoring performance and applying management techniques.
• Managing change control and governance processes.
• Communicating project information through meetings and reports.
• Preparing budget progress and other formal reports.
• Quality control to meet standards and procedures.
• Contributing to proposals and variations for new work.
• Identifying process improvements in PM procedures and templates.
• Ensuring line management awareness of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
