Job summary

Metric Engineering seeks a Senior Project Manager in South Florida to lead municipal civil projects in Miami and nearby counties, guiding design, delivery, and client development from pursuit to construction.

You will oversee civil site, drainage, stormwater, roadway and utility work, mentor staff, grow the South Florida practice, and ensure QC and regulatory compliance with SFWMD and FDOT.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil design and project management experience in municipal/public sectors.
• Strong network with South Florida public agencies and institutions preferred.
• Experience leading design-to-construction delivery and client development.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal and public sector civil assignments, owning scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Build and grow relationships with public agency staff and reviewers.
• Drive business development, including pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with sub-consultants and internal disciplines.
• Oversee permitting with SFWMD, county, municipal authorities, and FDOT where applicable.
• Mentor staff and expand Metric's South Florida public-sector practice.
• Provide QC to ensure work meets project requirements and standards.
