Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks a Telecom Systems Administrator Sr to manage P25, OpenSky, and private LTE networks. You will configure UID, perform radio programming, and coordinate deployments for public safety, municipal, and enterprise clients.

This role requires staying on call to support critical incidents and ensuring data accuracy in all records. Qualified candidates have extensive UNIX/Windows administration experience, strong telecom system knowledge, and familiarity with Ericsson

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in systems design, development, installation, administration and maintenance in UNIX/Windows environments, or relevant experience including high-availability systems.
• A degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a relevant field; substitutions allowed per LCRA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage UAS for P25 and OpenSky networks with accurate UID allocation and radio configuration.
• Process radio work orders for deployments, replacements, and reassignments across public safety, municipal, and enterprise accounts.
• Collaborate with external public safety agencies and internal field technicians to troubleshoot and fulfill programming requests efficiently.
• Maintain core administrative and database functions for the private LTE network built on the Ericsson stack, ensuring accurate records.
• Keep comprehensive system documentation and SOPs across radio and LTE platforms.
• Provide guidance on change management during system updates to minimize disruption.
• Offer 24/7 support for high-priority incidents via phone, email, or onsite coordination.
