Job summary

LCRA in Austin, TX seeks a Telecom Systems Administrator Sr to support critical public safety communications. You will configure and maintain P25/OpenSky networks, manage UID and radio identities, and ensure accurate data for dispatchers on a 24/7 basis.

You will work closely with field technicians and public safety agencies to resolve issues, deploy new deployments, and maintain comprehensive documentation across radio and LTE platforms. Experience in high-availability environments is required.

Qualifications

• Nine+ years in systems design/maintenance with five+ years in high-availability environments.
• Degree in software engineering/CS/IT may be substituted per LCRA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy UAS for P25/OpenSky, managing UID, radio personality, talkgroups and aliases.
• Process radio work orders for deployments/replacements across public safety and enterprise accounts.
• Coordinate with public safety agencies and field techs to troubleshoot and fulfill programming requests.
• Maintain core admin and database functions for LCRA's private LTE network (Ericsson stack).
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation and SOPs across radio and LTE platforms.
• Provide guidance on change management to minimize operational disruption.
• Provide 24/7 support for high-priority incidents via phone, email, or onsite.
