Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring for a Public Safety Officer at the Fond du Lac Campus, Oshkosh location. The role is full-time, 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), Sunday through Thursday with holiday work as scheduled.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and typically 4 years of experience in security or related public safety. It offers comprehensive benefits and a pay range of $22.90–$34.35 per hour, with appropriate licensure and training expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, public safety, or customer service with emergency response exposure.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, fairness and compassion under challenging circumstances.
• Familiarity with safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service mindset.
• Ensure safety and security during interior and exterior patrols; identify hazards and vulnerabilities.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; de-escalate where appropriate and use force only when necessary.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders; conduct investigations and documentation.
• Deliver security awareness education and training to staff; act as a field instructor when needed.
