Job summary

Advocate Health Oshkosh is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and teammates on the 3rd shift. You will patrol interior and exterior areas, enforce safety rules, control traffic, and respond to emergencies with composure and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, de-escalation, collaboration with law enforcement, and leveraging training on restraints and emergency protocols. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in security/public safety or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach, upholding professionalism and safety.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols; identify hazards and ensure building security.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; assist with crowd and traffic control.
• Investigate incidents; complete timely, accurate reports and escalate as needed.
• De-escalate conflicts; use force only as training permits and policy allows.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders; support site security initiatives.
