About The Job

We are looking for an exceptional Senior PR & Communications Lead to drive the global narrative of Kasagi Labo’s Anime Production Fund. This role will craft and execute a premium, emotionally resonant PR strategy that positions us at the intersection of anime, culture, and investment.

You will be responsible for building global media visibility, securing top-tier press coverage, and amplifying our founder-led storytelling. You’ll also manage the tone of our investor communications, helping us turn a first-of-its-kind fund into a cultural movement.

This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across media, investor relations, and internal teams. You will need to connect the dots between cultural aspiration, business goals, and public perception—crafting narratives that resonate and convert.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a multi-phase PR campaign targeting anime, business, and culture media. Specifically

• Media Relations & Thought Leadership: Secure high-impact features, op-eds, and interviews for the founder and advisory team with the anime, business and culture media outlets.
• Marketing: Design and implement milestone-driven messaging strategies that leverage social proof and exclusivity to attract investor interest.
• Founder-Led Storytelling: Support the founder’s personal brand through LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and podcasts, ensuring authenticity and strategic alignment.
• Content & Event Management: Oversee PR assets, from sizzle reels to press kits, and coordinate media coverage for fund-related events.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Investor Relations, Creative, and Leadership teams to align PR initiatives with overall business objectives.
• PR Performance & Lead Tracking: Monitor media coverage, analyze PR-driven investor leads, and optimize strategies based on data insights.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in PR, Communications, or Media Relations, preferably in anime, entertainment, cultural IP, or investment sectors.
• Media Network: Strong network of media contacts in the U.S., Japan, and SEA, especially in entertainment and finance, and have proven success in securing Tier-1 media placements
• Storytelling & Copywriting: Exceptional ability to translate complex business objectives into emotionally resonant narratives that convert into investor action.
• Project Management: Experience managing PR campaigns with multiple stakeholders, agencies, and tight timelines.
• Bonus: You have a deep understanding of anime fandom, Japanese creative traditions, and global pop culture dynamics, as well as experience with investment funds, alternative assets, or high-growth startups.

• Base cash comp starting at USD140,000 - USD160,000
