Job summary

OCPS in Orlando is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage contracting for assigned areas in compliance with all regulations. You will oversee procurement planning, vendor communications, and contract administration to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases for district needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of procurement experience; CPPB or NIGP-CPP certification is preferred. The position emphasizes analysis, negotiation, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 2 years of procurement/contracting experience.
• Public procurement experience preferred.
• SAP and/or procurement platform experience preferred.
• CPPB or NIGP-CPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracting functions for assigned areas in accordance with governing regulations.
• Develop procurement plans and provide high-quality service to meet delivery requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of spending levels for contracts authorized by the School Board.
• Provide guidance and training on procurement procedures to OCPS staff.
• Negotiate contracts and analyze cost/price data to balance cost, quality, and service.
