Job summary

Orange County Public Schools is seeking a procurement professional to manage contracting functions for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with regulations and district policies.

The role requires several years of procurement experience, knowledge of contract documents, and strong negotiation skills. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Procurement Services and supervises procurement staff as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of procurement/contracting experience.
• Public/government procurement experience preferred.
• CPPB or NIGP-CPP certification preferred.
• SAP and/or procurement platform experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement functions for assigned areas in accordance with governing regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise procurement staff and other departments as needed.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate solicitations, contracts and amendments.
• Maintain records of spending and vendor performance for contracts.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing public procurement.
• Provide guidance and training on procurement procedures to OCPS staff.
