Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to accelerate Health & Human Services/Public Health initiatives within the State & Local Government practice, Chicago.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, shaping technical strategy with the Public Health BDM and leading complex architecture engagements. You will design interoperable data platforms, govern HIPAA/FedRAMP-compliant environments, and craft scalable go-to-market solutions with AWS teams and partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software, cloud, security, or data domains.
• 5+ years in design, implementation or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor on Health & Human Services and Public Health solutions for state and local agencies.
• Define and drive technical business strategy for Public Health in partnership with the Public Health BDM.
• Lead architecture design sessions, deep-dives, and POC engagements for interoperability, population health analytics, disease surveillance.
• Provide expert guidance on data platforms, analytics, ML, GenAI, and secure, compliant architectures (HIPAA, FedRAMP, GovRAMP).
• Partner with account teams on strategic account planning to accelerate the sales cycle and improve solution accuracy.
• Present at AWS Summits, re:Invent, and industry conferences on public health topics.
• Create and publish external-facing content showcasing HHS/Public Health best practices on AWS.
