Job summary

Amtrak in New York seeks a Principal Project Manager-PTC to lead safety and reliability initiatives for Positive Train Control, focusing on ITCM, I-ETMS, and ACSES systems across the network. You will collaborate with Mechanical, DT, Engineering Services, and vendor partners to resolve PTC anomalies, improve interoperability, and drive innovative solutions on state and host railroad equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; required +7 years of relevant work
• 7 years of relevant experience required, 9+ preferred
• Experience with PTC systems and ITC standards is essential

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to Mechanical and DT teams on PTC troubleshooting and standards
• Serve as SME on BOS messaging with DT, Eng. Services and vendors
• Lead investigations of communication paths (GPS, radios, wayside, BOS, cellular)
