Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. is seeking an experienced Nursing Leader to direct patient care in the Adolescent Care Unit, planning, coordinating and supervising nursing services to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based care.

The role requires five years of psychiatric nursing and two years of nursing leadership, with a Master’s in Nursing and an active RN license. Navajo Nation employment preference may apply, with opportunities for staff development and compliance oversight.

Qualifications

Five (5) years’ Psychiatric Nursing experience AND Two (2) years’ Nursing Leadership experience.
Master’s in Nursing (MN/MSN) degree accredited by CCNE/ACEN.
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in any U.S. State or Territory.

Responsabilités

Directs patient care by planning, organizing, directing and reviewing nursing work to provide safe, quality, evidence-based care.
Assigns and directs tasks to staff considering skill/knowledge and staff mix.
Provides instruction and training in tasks and performance techniques.
Provides direction through daily huddles, chart audits, RL-6 incident reports, direct observation and surveys.
Coordinates an interdisciplinary approach for continuity of care from admission to discharge.
