Fort Defiance, AZ — The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Adolescent Care Unit) is a full-time, on-site position with a weekend schedule. The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and TCI within 90 days of hire.

Duties include psychiatric assessments, administering medications, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to support adolescent patients. Applicants must have 1 year RN experience in acute inpatient psychiatric settings and an AS degree in nursing.

Qualifications

• One (1) year direct work experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute inpatient psychiatric nursing setting.
• Associate of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. State or Territory.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care including psychiatric triage, assessments, daily progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Administers prescribed medications and facilitates groups and counseling.
• Develops standards of care and processes for psychiatric nursing.
• Coordinates continuing care and acts as liaison with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participates in treatment planning meetings and reviews patient progress.
