Job summary

Burrow Global, LLC is seeking a PSV / Pressure Safety Engineer to lead PSV calculations, overpressure analyses, and flare system evaluations for EPC projects in the Deer Park/Gulf Coast region. This onsite role ensures PRDs, headers, and piping meet API, ASME, OSHA PSM standards.

The position requires a 10-year EPC background in oil & gas or petrochem, with ABET-accredited B.S. in chemical or mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
10 years of process safety or mechanical engineering experience in EPC oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical projects.
Strong knowledge of API 520/521/2000, ASME Section I & VIII, OSHA PSM.

Responsibilities

Perform PSV sizing, selection, and specifications for pressure relief devices and related components using industry software.
Conduct overpressure scenario analyses (fire, blocked outlet, thermal expansion) for process equipment.
Evaluate flare and vent header systems, backpressure, depressurization, and hydraulics.
Support EPC projects from FEED through detailed EPC execution and safety package delivery.
Conduct field walkdowns to verify as-built piping, pressure drops, and valve installations.
Prepare PSV design packages and MOC documentation; update asset registers.
Ensure compliance with API, ASME, and OSHA standards and client specifications.
Collaborate with Piping, Process, Instrumentation, and Client teams to resolve issues.
