Job summary

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is seeking a Full-time OSA Senior Prototype Mechanic in Fort Myers, FL to support automotive prototype development and vehicle testing. Work with engineering teams to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and validate ADAS/EV systems in a fast-paced prototype environment.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, wiring harness work, documentation, and collaboration with technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 3–4 years automotive mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic experience.
• Experience reading schematics and technical documentation.
• Comfort with diagnostic tools and software in a shop/test environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic system malfunctions.
• Diagnose issues from repair orders and engineering instructions.
• Validate DAT/ADAS/AV/EV systems and perform testing.
• Assemble and repair wiring harnesses per schematics.
• Document diagnostics and testing results clearly in service records.
• Maintain shop equipment and track project parts inventory.
• Collaborate with engineering and other technicians on prototypes.
• Provide technical guidance to teammates as needed.
