Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Experienced Automotive Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. The Full-time Experienced Automotive Mechanics will perform a wide range of mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repairs, modifications, maintenance, and assembly activities. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. This Full-time Experienced Automotive Mechanics position offers an AM and PM shifts plus overtime and weekends as required and is based in Livonia, MI. Shift
- 1 st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (plus overtime and weekends as required)
- 2 nd Shift:3:30 PM – 12:00 AM(plus overtime and weekends as required)
- Employees will train on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift

Responsibilities:
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by working from repair orders, work instructions, or leader instructions and conducting inspections
- Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
- Repair vehicle mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components as needed
- Modify and assemble cars, trucks, and other vehicles in a prototype environment
- Read, interpret, and accurately execute service procedures, work instructions, and written documentation
- Perform mechanical assembly and operate a variety of automotive and shop equipment
- Maintain accurate vehicle and project records by documenting notes, services, repairs, inspections, and work performed
- Troubleshoot and maintain shop equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Participate in daily shop organization
- Collaborate with team members, leaders, customers, and other departments to complete projects efficiently
- Work with a high level of urgency, motivation, and attention to detail
- Maintain reliable attendance and be willing to work overtime and weekends as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3–4 years of automotive technician/mechanic experience
- Well‑rounded automotive mechanical and technician experience
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and the ability to safely operate automotive/shop equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately execute written procedures and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- High level of motivation, urgency, dependability, and willingness to learn
- Must have your own professional automotive tools and a rolling lockable toolbox
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly technical, prototype environment
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Certificate or degree in Automotive Technology or a related field
- ASE certification(s)
- State of Michigan Mechanic Certification(s)
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with vehicle alignments
- Experience with automotive air conditioning (A/C) system diagnosis and repair
- Experience operating tire machines and wheel balancers
- Experience working with electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, prototype vehicles, or other advanced automotive technologies
- Overtime when available
- No certification required
