Performance Driven Workforce in Allen Park, MI is hiring a Senior Automotive Mechanic for a full-time role in a prototype environment. The position requires 8+ years of experience, mentoring responsibilities, and expertise in engine R&R, electrical diagnostics, and powertrain work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 8 years of mechanic experience in a professional setting (engine R&R, electrical diagnostics & repair, blueprint/schematic reading, transmission rebuilds, powertrain diagnostics & repairs).
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mentor and train others.
• Must have own tools with rolling toolbox.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by following repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts/components.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members as SME to assist the team and customers.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions and performing preventative maintenance.
• Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.
