Job summary

Viridian Space Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Prototyping Machinist to design and stand up the company’s first in-house machine shop with 5-axis CNC capabilities. You will work with lead engineers to identify core needs and commission machinery and workflows for rapid prototyping of aerospace hardware.

You will develop and prove workflows for key parts, begin producing hardware independently, and ensure manufacturability with tight attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently to bring concepts to reality.
• Strong understanding of manufacturability for prototyping parts.
• Experience with metrology and quality tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and stand up Viridian’s first in-house machine shop with 5-axis CNC capabilities.
• Collaborate with lead engineers to identify core capabilities and facility needs.
• Commission machinery and establish workflows for rapid prototyping.
