Job summary

Glyphic Biotechnologies in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Senior Research Associate / Scientist I to scale proteomics sample preparation for mass spectrometry workflows. You will perform tissue and cell sample prep, enrichment strategies, and operating the Orbitrap Astral Zoom in a fast-paced bench role.

You will gain hands-on training on Orbitrap Astral Zoom + Vanquish Neo, with potential to grow responsibility as systems come online, at Glyphic's Berkeley, CA location.

Qualifications

• BS/MS with 2+ years (Senior Research Associate)
• BS/MS with 4+ years (Scientist I)
• Hands-on LC–MS/MS proteomics experience
• Experience handling tissue dissection and cell pellets
• Familiarity with DIA data acquisition
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
• Occasional weekend availability ~1–2 hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue and cell samples for mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
• Execute protein and peptide enrichment strategies.
• Follow validated protein extraction and purification protocols.
• Use automation to achieve high sample throughput.
